Registration for the 2009 - 2010 Season Begins October 15th

 The  Dundee Highlanders Wrestling Team is gearing up for the 2009 -2010 wrestling season and will be holding an Orientation Meeting on October 15.  The Team is looking for new wrestlers from 5 to 14 years old for the upcoming wrestling season. The team is affiliated with the Dundee Township Park District and the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation IKWF. Beginners and experienced wrestlers from all areas are welcome to join the team. Please download and complete the Registration Packet and bring it with you to the team orientation.  The Orientation Meeting is being held at 7:00 PM in the Dundee Township Park District's Senior Center which is located at 665 Barrington Avenue in Carpentersville.  Please direct any questions regarding the Team or Registration to Head Coach Mike Bondi.

• State Tournament

  The Dundee Highlanders were able to send six wrestlers to the State Tournament this year.  The wrestlers were, at the Senior Division, Raymond Griggel and Zachary Heinhz; and at the Novice Division, the Highlanders sent Chris Bartels, Nathan Romero, Timothy Schanmier, and Zachary McCullough.  Chris Bartels was able to win 8th place at 215 pounds while Nathan Romero took 7th place at 108 pounds in the Novice Division.  In the Senior Division, Raymond Griggel took 5th place at 215 pounds. Congratulations to all of the State Qualifiers for an outstanding job.
• Highlanders Take 2nd in Team Competition
  January 25, 2009
  The Dundee Highlanders Wrestling Team took 2nd place in the Team Competition at Marengo's Cabin Fever Tournament on January 25th.  Forty-two wrestlers attended the tournament and ten were selected for the team competition. Of the ten wrestlers entered, six placed first, two placed second, and two placed third.  Congratulations to the Team for a job well done.
